by D0CTOR_ZED Having played through the first episode, I am uncertain that we played the rounds properly, specifically round 3, with regards to following the plot book. I'm hoping someone might be able to provide some general guidance that can be applied to future episodes as I would like to be able to continue with the game and would rather play as intended. The following is a breakdown of how following the plot book went.1.00:There are two sections, EPISODE SETUP and EPISODE OBJECTIVES. Seems direct. The first is done while setting up the episode and the second lists cards that detail rules for officer advancement.1.01:Left column, INTRODUCTION, gets read, adding to the ongoing story.Right column, PLOT and ADVANCE. The plot is "Complete 1 round of play" and the advance is "After completing round 1, proceed to 1.02". These are easy enough to understand, so we did that.

I am in the middle of a game at the moment so pretty deep into the rules.I have found the best way to get answers with the current rule book is to word search the PDF version. I usually find the answer although it is often buried somewhere that I never would have found it otherwise. That can be a bit slow in ftf games, works great for vassal by email though.What that tells me is that the greatest problem with the rule book is organisation. While there are some gaps and contradictions once players have decided on their solution for each of these that ceases to be a problem. The difficulty of finding a specific rule when you need it remains.Over on Consimworld Frank Jewel has said he has been working on a rewrite for past couple of years. He has done this in consultation with the designer and the main rules question expert.
