Poco F6 Pro unboxing video spotted online prior to the announcement

18 May 2024 @ 6:30 pm

Poco is planning to unveil The Poco F6 and F6 Pro at an event on May 23. We already know quite a bit about the design and specs of both phones. Still, it doesn't hurt to get some affirmation, and this time, it comes in the form of an unboxing video of the F6 Pro spotted on Dailymotion. The video doesn't seem official in any way and is even a bit shaky, hinting at its amateur nature. However, it all but confirms the earlier assumptions that the Poco F6 Pro is just a rebranded Redmi K70 for international markets. The two phones look the same and seem to share their core specs. In...

Motorola Razr 50 and 50 Ultra renders surface online

18 May 2024 @ 4:00 pm

Thanks to multiple specs leaks, we already have a pretty good idea of the kind of hardware to expect from the upcoming Rarz 50 pair. Thanks to prolific leakster @evlekas, we also have detailed and very official-looking renders of both phones. Let’s kick things off with the vanilla Motorola Razr 50, which will also likely be known as the Moto Razr 2024 in some markets. The upgrade in design compared to the predecessor is pretty substantial. Notice the leather finish on the back for an extra premium look and feel. The larger external display instantly stands out, now sitting at 3.63 inches...

Could this actually be an iPhone 16 pictured in the wild?

18 May 2024 @ 1:30 pm

Apple is notoriously secretive about its unannounced devices and affairs in general. iPhone leaks, in particular, are very rare. We often rely on second-hand or related industry and supplier information to get some hints. Like when we learned just recently that the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro display production is expected to be on schedule in June, hinting that the new iPhone 16 models will stick to tradition and come out in September. This year, however, there might be some cracks in Apple’s security since we did already see a fairly believable dummy iPhone 16 Pro Max unit in the wild,...

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge pricing leaks

18 May 2024 @ 8:00 am

Ever since Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon X Elite ARM-based chips for Windows on ARM laptops there has been sort of a race to the finish line from manufacturers to put out actual products with the chip. Samsung might be the first across said line with its Galaxy Book4 Edge line. We already had some specs and rough pricing for the 14-inch model, but now thanks to a Swedish retailer, we have a better overall picture. Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14-inch The Galaxy Book4 Edge will be available in a 14-inch and 16-inch size variant. According to the store listing, the...

Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 in for review

18 May 2024 @ 3:05 am

This is the Huawei MateBook X Pro for 2024 and it's easily the best laptop Huawei has ever made. The MateBook X Pro is thin-and-light with power to spare, and in this generation, it's more premium than ever. The retail box has a 90W charger, a separate USB-C cable, a USB-C to USB-A dongle, and USB-C headphones, something we haven't seen in earlier generations of the MateBook X Pro. The MateBook X Pro has always had razor-thin bezels and a premium display and in this generation, the series makes the jump from LTPS LCD to OLED. The panel is outstanding. It's a 14.2-inch 3:2 aspect...

Samsung Galaxy Watch7 passes through the FCC alongside Galaxy Watch FE

18 May 2024 @ 1:15 am

Samsung is expected to launch at least three versions of the Galaxy Watch7 at its next Unpacked event in July - the vanilla, the Classic, and the Pro. A cheaper Galaxy Watch FE may join it too, and although it may not be called that, we'll use that name for now, as it's easy to follow. A bunch of Samsung smartwatches have been listed by the FCC, with model numbers SM-L300, SM-L305, SM-L310, SM-L315, and SM-R861. L300 and L310 could be the Wi-Fi-only versions of the two sizes for the vanilla Watch7, with L305 and L315 being their respective LTE-capable iterations. That leaves the...

New 13-inch iPad Pro gets disassembled on video

17 May 2024 @ 9:31 pm

Yesterday the new 13-inch iPad Pro got put through a grueling durability test involving scratches, burns, and bends, and today we have the next logical step - a teardown video. This time it's provided by the Phone Repair Guru YouTube channel, and if you've always wondered what's inside the thinnest device (not just the thinnest tablet) Apple's ever made, well, look no further. This tablet is barely thicker than its USB-C port, which is a feat of engineering in itself - though let's not forget the port may be to blame for the iPad's 'performance' in the aforementioned bend test. Then...

iPhone 17 Slim to be more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro Max

17 May 2024 @ 8:46 pm

We've already heard that Apple is revamping its iPhone lineup next year, retiring the Plus model and launching a Slim one instead. But so far we thought the iPhone 17 Slim would be similarly positioned to the Plus, only thinner. According to a new report today, that won't be the case. Instead, the iPhone 17 Slim will be the most premium of the bunch, and thus more expensive than even the iPhone 17 Pro Max, believe it or not. Apple seems to love thinness these days, having recently released the thinnest device it's ever made in the 13" iPad Pro, and is now apparently looking to trim...

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes Review - A Mastery of Illusions

17 May 2024 @ 9:29 pm

I've never really given much thought to the differences between a labyrinth and a maze. That is, until I played Simogo's Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. A labyrinth, as I know now, is a singular path, twisting and turning, constantly changing in direction. It invokes the illusion of feeling lost, despite the fact that its path always leads to a center. A maze, on the other hand, has multiple paths, filled with dead ends, wrong turns, and requires trial and error to reach its end. The former can be a meditative and reflective journey for some, while the latter is a trying experience that requires patience and perseverance to see it through. Despite these differences, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes brings them together through mechanics, themes, and narrative. The result is a gaming experience that masterfully interlocks storytelling with design, making it one of Simogo's finest achievements, and one of the most impressive narrative puzzle games in recent memory.Lorelei and t

George Miller Considered De-Aging Charlize Theron For Furiosa - Then He Saw Gemini Man

17 May 2024 @ 7:59 pm

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has had a particularly long journey to the big screen, with director George Miller having originally planned to shoot it back to back with 2015's Fury Road. Despite already having a screenplay in place, the back-to-back productions didn't end up happening--and as time passed and star Charlize Theron got older, it became increasingly impractical to have her return to play a younger version of the character."She was very excited about it, and my intention was that we do it next [after Fury Road]. But then, we've now gone through the third parent company of Warner Bros, from Time Warner to AT&T and now Discovery " Miller said to a group of reporters at an event for Furiosa, indicating that the corporate upheaval at Warners Bros. over the past decade is to blame for Furiosa's delay. But the Fury Road prequel, as we know,
