Located in the sophisticated neighborhood of Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, CallMeTen emerges as a refined culinary destination shaped by the design sensibilities of Renesa Studio. Sandwash Apartment / Architectkidd

15 June 2025 @ 5:00 pm

In the bustling and ever-evolving construction landscape of Southeast Asia, the recent earthquake prompted us to re-evaluate our approach to building design. A prevailing trend in modern renovation and construction favors thin, lightweight materials – often chosen for their superficial aesthetic and glossy veneer. Would it be possible to instead design with robust, minimally processed, and long-lasting materials?

House Graviola / Sertão Arquitetos

15 June 2025 @ 3:00 pm

The renovation of Casa Graviola was planned based on 4 main movements. The first step was to simplify the existing structure by demolishing the various extensions that surrounded the original house from 1991. The main body of the house was preserved and has striking features, such as the brick walls and the roof made directly from beams and ceramic tiles, dispensing with the use of slats, an old technique that directly refers to the Casa do Rio Vermelho by Jorge Amado and Zélia Gattai, a direct reference for this renovation.

Tintoretto House Rehabilitation / Symbiose Interior Architecture & Design

15 June 2025 @ 9:00 am

Drawing upon the Mediterranean spirit that defines its surroundings, Casa Tintoretto reimagines interior space as a dialogue between organic forms, and materiality expression. Rooted in place yet open to reinterpretation, it revisits regional architectural typologies: arched passages, a close connection to nature, and the use of local materials, to craft a home that feels both timeless and contemporary.

From Churches to Homes: Conversions and Contemporary Renovations That Fuse Past and Present

15 June 2025 @ 7:30 am

What does a change in use and/or scale in buildings imply? How can a church or chapel be transformed into a home? While the architecture of many contemporary sacred spaces shows a remarkable capacity for adaptation and evolution, the creative boundaries of many professionals extend beyond their conception as structures of spirituality or worship. Globally, the conversion of large churches and small chapels into private residences reveals a wide field for intervention and exploration, one that can preserve, restore, adapt, and/or renew the character of spaces originally conceived for other uses and scales, which for various reasons have been abandoned, become obsolete, or now require transformation.

Hata Dome / Anastasiya Dudik

15 June 2025 @ 6:00 am

HATA is a monolithic concrete dome home situated in California's high desert, where sculptural form meets environmental resilience. Designed and built entirely by self-taught designer-builder Anastasiya Dudik, this 1,707-square-foot structure redefines what it means to build intuitively, responsively, and artistically.

Gardenful / TAOA

15 June 2025 @ 2:00 am

This is an urban garden built for private use. As a corner of the city, I hope to fill the whole garden with abundant nature in this small space. The site is an open space in a villa compound, surrounded by a cluster of European-style single-family villas typical of Chinese real estate. Modern buildings greatly meet the requirements of indoor temperature and humidity comfort because of their complete facilities, but the building also has a clear climate boundary, cutting off the connection between indoor and outdoor, but also cut off the continuity of nature and life.

14 June 2025 @ 9:00 pm

Built to address homelessness and climate change, the Sienna Net-Zero Home is a self-sustaining, solar-powered, cost-efficient, and compact housing solution. This climate-responsive and affordable home, located in Quezon City, Philippines, represents a revolutionary vision for social housing through its integration of thoughtful design, sustainability, and energy self-sufficiency.

LAIR Restaurant Bar / RENESA Architecture Design Interiors Studio

14 June 2025 @ 5:00 pm

A Reinterpretation of the Speakeasy Through Materiality and Spatial Choreography – Renesa Architecture Design Interiors Studio presents Lair, an immersive hospitality experience that redefines the traditional idea of the speakeasy through a contemporary lens. Designed as an architectural journey of concealment and revelation, the Lair fuses raw materiality, layered spatial transitions, and oriental undertones to create a sanctuary of curated indulgence. Located in the heart of Gurgaon, the Lair plays with the ideas of secrecy and intimacy.
