Minisforum launches first Mini-PC with Intel CPU, AMD version planned as well The company has entered a highly competitive market.  Today, Colorful is introducing the CMNH01-12450, based on the 12th Gen Core CPU series known as Alder Lake-H45, which may now be considered a bit dated. With this move, the company has entered a highly competitive market where many brands offer systems with Intel and AMD CPUs, often at attractive prices. Gigabyte promises "Superior Stability" with its Intel Baseline motherboard profile for Core i9 CPUs Similarly to ASUS, Gigabyte has released the Intel Baseline Profile setting within its BIOS for 13th and 14th Gen Core CPUs, all in an effort to offer more stability to these CPUs. As we reported, various motherboard makers were offering generous power settings within their BIOS, typically diverging from Intel's recommendations, and typically this was done automatically. AMD Strix Point and Halo specs have been leaked According to HKEPC, a 144-page document featuring specifications of AMD Ryzen CPUs based on Strix Point and Strix Halo series has been leaked. The document confirms the specs of both products, neither of which has been released yet. AMD is yet to unveil the full specs of its next-gen APU series based on Zen5 architecture, so this leak certainly tells us a lot more. Starting with Strix Point (listed as STX), we have 12 Zen5 cores and 24 threads. ThinkBook TGX features OCulink with full 64 Gbps bandwidth An alternative to slow Thunderbolt eGPUs.  This product was announced at CES, but it wasn't seen in action until now. The ThinkBook TGX is a GPU enclosure that uses a custom connection based on PCIe Gen4 specs. The connector is very much like OCulink, and unofficially, it is, in fact, OCulink. AMD Fluid Motion Frames support for Ally now official ASUS has just announced their gaming handheld ROG Ally will be updated to support driver-level frame generation technology.  Gamers using Ryzen Z1 handhelds were frustrated upon learning about updates regarding AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) support for desktops and mobile graphics. Unlike regular graphics cards, gaming handhelds rely on their own graphics drivers provided by either ASUS or Lenovo (in the case of the Legion Go system).
