by sgraber I’d like to clarify how the AUTOMA expands.Here are the decisions I made. Are these correct?First I calculated how many vassals would expand, up to 5. These came from Free Vassals or cities (-1 MO each).Then I determined targets for each vassal based on province values. I checked for land expansion targets first, then naval expansion targets.When expanding land provinces, I only calculated the value of provinces adjacent to previously controlled provinces.When expanding using new fleets (only if navigation has been researched and money is available to build fleets), I only calculated the value of provinces and fishing areas that could be reached using the current navigation MP (this includes -2 for found colony, -2 for build fleet, -1 per 4 distance MP each). I added -3 to the value of land province targets that are occupied (-5 with “bringer of peace”).
