by JayceeBaron I've played with Google AI Mode. It generally know the rules already from reading websites, PDFs, and watching videos, but it will recommend you upload the specific ruleset you want to use via a link so it doesn't deviate; AM is excellent at creating a narrative out of the results. Here are screen caps from when AI Mode was teaching me how to play with basic examples. While playing, you can upload pics of the board with the counters on it, which it can recognize.Gemini would work as well, or ChatGPT, Grok, and Claude; I wouldn't bother with Copilot, though because it thinks everything is a copyright violation. I'm currently playing a game of OD&D with Grok, which has been surprisingly engrossing. You just have to find which one has a "personality" you like (which can also be trained).

by rmsgrey Hjortfot wrote:Thank you, both of you. I do now understand what he was talking about. And I understand more of the rule. This is the fundamental flow of Gloomhaven and other games using the same system: you play two cards each round until you run out of cards in hand, then, depending on the situation, either take a short rest so you can stay active, or take a long rest so you can recover items and some health. Either way, resting loses one of the discarded cards and returns the others to your hand, so, even if you're not losing cards to their own effects, nor to prevent damage, you'll run out of cards eventually - which is when you have to drop out of the scenario, exhausted. It's an unusual enough system that it's common for people to struggle with understanding it.

Worker placement and resource acquisition tickles my brain, but the intense level of player interaction and variety makes it a bitey and demanding game.As far as I know, it's about the only worker placement game like it. But I don't know all the games out there. So I thought I'd ask. Are there any other games like Argent, particularly worker placement games with its level of interaction and complexity?Argent is my favorite game for entirely different reasons, but I like the worker placement and interactions too. I suspect you migh
