Thread: Schotten Totten:: General:: Version with bigger icons for colourblindness? (+ a small ranting about the size of icons)

29 March 2026 @ 6:40 am

by UncannyFeeling Played on BGA, then checked on google images, the yellow and green are VERY CLOSE to my eyes...so close that I've actually played a combo wrong...because I thought all 3 cards are the same color 😕Only after this I read there are actual icons on the cards...rechecked it and yes, there are...and they are basically too tiny to even notice at first play, let alone use them to differentiate in a blink of an eye. This is really sad because I like the game otherwise. I've checked Schotten Totten 2 and it seems it has the same exact problem?????They had more than 20 years after the first game to realize those icons should be bigger for the sake or either colourblind people or poor lighting conditions yet the icons in the sequel are just as small ._.I don't really understand the decision behind that...Poker cards and many-many other (non-)standard playing cards

by QBert80 Thank you, that is helpful! What is the cost of building links, single versus double? Being able to double build links in Era 1 seems to make them more efficient, but I wonder what the cost is.

So the cocoa power doesn't trigger, not even once.https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/170040/official-faq-and-c...That, but in addition, you can only use each discovery tile once.

by wpflug13 Well, my collection arrived today, and it appears that everything that should be there is there (other than the inserts for the first and third figure packs, assuming those exist). I modified the component list in my first post to include all the expansions based on the excellent resources Birdman provided. My copy of Spreading War is still in shrink, so I'll get those components updated once I crack it open. If anyone needs it in the meantime, you can make a copy from here.

by Norbert666 Carcass was one of my most anticipated Gearlocs, but was also my most disappointing.I didn’t get on with him at all. I only played with him once but didn’t enjoy it at all. I think I had a misconception from maybe the artwork that he was going to be badass, but found him to be very weak and his skills pretty random and generally focussed on health and not hits.Lots of his skills rely on having baddies on Meat Hooks, but I just couldn’t kill anything in the first place!I’ll need to revisit him but am struggling to find the motivation.Stanza remains my favourite for now, but I’m just about to try Polaris for the first time which seems to have potential to take that top spot.

Is the person posting here just mistaken about what AI is, or are they misinformed about what the artists are up to? Certainly they can't be meaning to say that the image we've been looking at for several weeks was created entirely by a human artist and without the use of AI image generative tools, right? This version of Concordia isn't being published by PD-Verlag; they licensed it to Awaken Realms. Jan was speaking about PD-Verlag's own publications.I definitely question whether Jan and the rest of the PD-Verlag t
