However, the game, while listing four factions - British Regulars, British Colonials, French Regulars, and French Canadiens - actually has only two factions, British and French. The British Colonials and French Canadians are really just extra blocks for the British and French Crowns, providing an additional turn for each as well. by phibilip Note that for the red flower card it's removal of all tokens, not just status tokens. So if you can get a status token or alteration spell on one of your units, you can use that card to remove all wound and exhaustion tokens, giving you a nice fresh unit to use. If you can do it to a heavily wounded big unit: nice fresh unit plus a damage as bonus. So throwing a status token on a unit would enable this card which could be quite good even if the status token itself doesn't do anything for that unit.

by Gamegrunt I've now played my copy twice in a sunlit room, and I must condemn the publisher's choice of pawns for Katarenga. They are wooden, but the wood chosen has only a slightly greater density than balsa. While the size and shape of the pawns are appropriate, the lack of quality in the production of the individual pawns is totally apparent in good lighting. Some of my pawns look damaged or poorly turned out. Really, the best solution is just to use the pawns from a decent chess set. I have such a set, but I'll be on the lookout for a good plastic set with useful pawns that I can cannibalize.
