by Jellynumnumz This is going to sound like a brag, but I promise you it is not. My first time playing it I was similar to you in that I barely made points and thought it was going to be very hard. After playing 5 games, on my 6th game I played my own 'Nightmare mode' where I completed 4 full edicts and all of their accumulated points and still won by a decent little chunk. I say this because I am NOT a super intelligent gaming guru. It is just the kind of game that really really rewards you putting in a few practice games to get the flow and feeling for. (though I will say that the great fire is one of the harder ones for sure). Heavily prioritize getting at least one development built in the first or second turn if at all possible. That or a very beneficial long term trade agreement. Having a little bit of a basic engine going will ensure that on those turns where you just have nothing good in hand you can still genera
