In a 2-4-player game, there is a higher probability for "lock situations" if the total number of dice would have been only 8/12/16. Although the total number to each player would have been the same, the distribution of different values is an important factor in this game. To enhance why we made this decision, think of a solo game with only 4 dice. Then, it will be too much randomness in the dice roll. We experienced the same in a 2-4-player game through testing. by bsoplinger I'm in the "why make up words or terms when there's plenty of good ones already" camp so agree with the OP pretty much for the same reason. When spiffy brand-ey newe terms get used in place of already accepted ones all that means for me are more trips to the rulebook… what am doing for the "apply non deterministic outcome process"… oh yeah roll the dice 😜

by DarkJjay It's much different. There's a minigame in Flip Voyage that feels similar to what you do in Voyages, but Flip Voyage has allllll these systems laden on top of that core that you don't see in Voyages. For what it's worth, I didn't really enjoy Voyages much either.
