Solar Powered IP camera not working [closed]

18 May 2024 @ 11:57 pm

I have three solar powered IP cameras, and I can't open any of them through my computer. I have tried several softwares. With all my other cameras I use the IPCloud, which is a code that comes with the camera, to connect through PC, but with my solar powered cameras this doesn't work. Does anybody know the reason?

How to automatically assign proper IP addresses in libvirt network

18 May 2024 @ 11:40 pm

Trying to make a virtual network that contains a single VM. Packets are routed through the host with <forward mode="route" />. I've read a bunch of stuff online and AFAIK it comes down to this section of the XML file: <ip address="...." netmask="...."> .... </ip> In all the examples I've seen they specify a certain IP address and corresponding address range to use for the gateway and for IP delegation, respectively. I'd much rather just have the host system check which ranges are unused by any other interfaces and simply use one. For IPv4 it's not really a big deal. If it's not possible I'll just hardcode some numbers in there and tell my router to always use a specific separate subnet. For IPv6 it's more difficult, because as I gather, I should specify the global scope IPv6 in there (because I'm using the "route" forwarding mode). My ISP doesn't make any guara

What was the RVS key used for on early PCs? [migrated]

18 May 2024 @ 10:55 pm

Some Commodore CBM and Sharp MZ-80B keyboards (U.S. version) feature an RVS key, which is linked to an LED on some keyboards (similar to Caps Lock). German CBM keyboards seem to feature a Control key instead of RVS. What was the RVS key good for? All I know is that on systems without RVS, Ctrl+R was used to toggle RVS on and off.

GnuPG: is it possible to sign a precreated digest/hash?

18 May 2024 @ 10:28 pm

With gpg -s <input file> we can create the hash of the message and sign it. Is there an option to let the caller prepare the hash and let gpg just sign the hash provided?

Resizing Qemu image and extending partitions

18 May 2024 @ 8:53 pm

I have a qemu image which I use for an XBOX emulator. The disk contains several partitions and the partition where stuff gets installed on, is full. I made the initial image too small. I already found out that I can resize the qemu image with "qemu-img resize". I have already done this. However, the partitions inside the disk image don't make use of this newly created space, I think. Is there a way for me to extend the partitions inside the disk image? I am on WIndows 11. Thanks for any suggestions!

GUI file copy stalls to HDD Enclosure. ROBOCOPY fine

18 May 2024 @ 7:45 pm

I have this 2.5” SATA HDD/SSD USB 3 enclosure. It’s just purchased in Mar-24. https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B0BG62HMDJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I tested it on my Toshiba 1 TB SATA 2.5” HDD. I have a strange observation. When from Windows explorer (Windows 10 as well as 11) when I copy a very large file say 5 GB sized ISO file for example, then midway the transfer rate drops to 0. Then explorer hangs the enclosure goes not responding and I have to physically disconnect it and reconnect again. File copy fails. Same is the case with other file sync apps like Free File Sync. I have the latest version. However if I use ROBOCOPY command line to copy same large files then it works flawlessly. What is wrong with GUI based file copy operation? There’s no issue with GUI based file copy

FFmpeg fell into a cycle at concatenation on Ubuntu Desktop i386 16.04.4

18 May 2024 @ 3:40 pm

I use FFmpeg at 2016 but I need concat much short video from 4 to 180 sec. This is on a notebook with Windows 7 and Ubuntu Desktop i386 16.04.4. If tool can read filter script from file it cannot input filename from file and will be concated clips many time. I used FFmpeg on Linux and used links to an input files (0 -> first.mp4, 1 -> second.mp4 e.g I used such command: ffmpeg -i 1 -i 2 -i 3 -i 4 -i 5 -i 6 -i 7 -i 8 -sn -filter_complex [0][1][2][3][4][5][6][7]concat=n=8:v=1:a=1 -r 25 Begin25d.mp4 Version of program: ffmpeg version 2.8.17-0ubuntu0.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2020 the FFmpeg developers built with gcc 5.4.0 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.12) 20160609 ) tool concats 2 files very good. When I gave 13 inputs tool began got warning message "overflow buffer"

HP Laserjet M283fdw stopped talking to Windows/HP Smart

15 May 2024 @ 5:49 pm

I have an HP LaserJet MFP283fdw with non-HP toner. I turned off automatic firmware updates a long time ago to make sure HP couldn't stop me using non-HP toner. But recently my Windows 10 PC has stopped even being able to see the printer, calling it Offline. Same on my phone with HP Smart. Nothing has changed on my printer and my Linux PC (not using HP-supplied drivers) can see and print to it fine, just as always. It seems possible to me that newer HP driver software will now silently ignore any printer without the current firmware, in order to force people onto newer firmware that forces HP products. Can anyone confirm if that's what is going on here? However if I update the printer firmware, presumably it will start to reject my 3rd party toner, right? Anyone using an M283fdw with non-HP toner successfully?

Biden: “Food Shortages Real” – Bird Flu PCR – PFAS closes farms

25 March 2022 @ 9:13 pm

Bread & circuses keep the masses asleep…and they are taking away the bread.
