How to USB KVM switch 3 monitors across 2 laptops?

3 May 2024 @ 8:19 pm

I have 2 laptops that I need to be able to switch between frequently throughout the day. I can't RDP from one to the other. I have a 3 monitor setup (aside from the laptop screens) that I want to connect to both laptops so that whichever one is active has 3 monitors for the display. 1 Monitor is an LG 27BN85UN-B (https://www.amazon.com/LG-27BN85UN-B-DisplayHDR-FreeSyncTM-Stabilizer/dp/B09Z6F7TG8) 2 old Hanns-g 21" 1080s with HDMI/DVI ports Laptops: Both laptops have 2 USB-C ports, and using this Anker USB-C_to_dual-HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0894B525X), I can set both of them up to display on all 3 monitors. 1 USB-C to the USB-C input for the LG monitor, and 1 USB-C to this dual HDMI adapter (

Synchronize two audio streams with ffmpeg

3 May 2024 @ 6:31 pm

Say I have a video of a talk but the soundtrack is bad, and I happen to have an audio recording of the same talk made with a good mike. Is there a way, with ffmpeg, to replace the bad audio with the good one, automatically synchronizing the two (the good mike was not started at the same time as the camera, and I don’t want to manually specify the shift)? Can ffmpeg do that? I have found many questions about swapping/merging audio streams, but not much about synchronizing them first.

Execute VBScript Command Without Temporary File

3 May 2024 @ 6:27 pm

PowerShell Script: If ( (fltmc).Count -eq 3 ) { $A = "CreateObject(`"Shell.Application`").ShellExecute" $VBS = "$A `"powershell.exe`", `"-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -file $PSCommandPath`", `"`", `"RunAs`", 1" $VBS > "$Env:temp\ga.vbs" & "$Env:temp\ga.vbs"; exit 0 } pause From the script above, I create the VBScript commands to $Env:temp\ga.vbs, then call it. How do I recode the following VBScript in PS1 file without making Temporary file? then Run VBScript directly on the PS1 file. As additional, this is content of VBS in Temp: CreateObject("Shell.Application").ShellExecute "powershell.exe", "-ExecutionPolicy Bypass -file C:\Users\Hill\Desktop\xxx.ps1", "", "RunAs", 1

Is it possible to output different soundtracks from movies to different output devices?

3 May 2024 @ 5:43 pm

For example, if I have a movie in MKV or another format, or a DVD with multiple soundtracks in different languages, can we watch it simultaneously in two languages? I want to watch the movie in English, and my wife wants to watch it in Ukrainian. Is it possible, for instance, that we both wear headphones, with each set of headphones playing a different soundtrack? For example, can VLC broadcast two soundtracks to two different IP addresses, and let's say, use our phones to listen to them? Or is there any other solution?

What is the fastest way to apply ALL default table properties to a pasted table in powerpoint?

3 May 2024 @ 5:23 pm

I find myself frequently pasting a table into PowerPoint, then manually manipulating the style properties so that the table looks "nice" and fits with the template theme (i.e., matching the style for a table manually generated in PowerPoint). Here is one way I do it: Create a dummy table, to use as a reference for the default color palette & text properties. Paste the table Then the following steps are specific to my current template, and include In the Table Design panel, check "Header Row" In the Table Design panel, check "Banded Rows" In the Table Design panel, apply the appropriate color palette Change the font color of the header row to white (the header color is dark blue) Change the font style to bold Change the font size In the Layout panel, apply "Normal" cell margins In the Layout panel, adjust the text

Switching or changing Sheets using a drop down that has date ranges for the data

3 May 2024 @ 3:35 pm

I can't seem to figure out why this doesn't work. When I choose the drop down selection that should activate or trigger the vba code, nothing happens. I have the below code under Sheet1 which is named (2Weeks) (...right click and pasted in view code window for that sheet). That’s all the code I have… no modules at the moment. I have (General) for the Object choice and (ListBox1_Change) (which is the drop down list in cell B4), for the Procedure. B4 is a cell with a drop down list with a bunch of date ranges (see below) like these two… (08/01/2024 - 08/18/2024, 11/11/2024 - 12/01/2024). I did complete the Data Validation correctly for cell B4... choosing List and the Date Ranges as the references, etc. By the way, must I have a combo box instead of a list box to make this code work? The two date ranges listed above, if selected, should change to a different sheet, Sheet2, which is named 3Weeks, from the current one. And when switched to the other sheet, the user would be

Outlook rules not applied on all messages

3 May 2024 @ 1:53 pm

I am part of a team (joined recently) at my company that runs a weekly meeting sent to 2000 participants. What is nonsensical right now is that when these participants respond with (Accepted, tentative, or declined), their responses are sent to our inbox. This is annoying because it fills the inbox with emails that do not have any value, so I created a rule to delete these messages. The issue is that this rule was applied to only 5000+ of them and left out 5000+. This is how it looks like: enter image description here Do you know why it is ignoring the messages that fall under the rule?

Where vaccine passports failed, food passports will now be eagerly accepted by hungry people who can’t afford rapidly inflating food prices. This is the realization of a longstanding agenda by the Rockefeller/UN/WEF crowd to, as […]

BIRD FLU: the Next Pandemic?

8 April 2022 @ 2:37 pm

There is an untold story involving Bird Flu, gain of function research, the Gates foundation, and Ukrainian biolabs — and it is time to tell it. As hundreds of millions of birds are killed due to Bird Flu “PCR outbreaks,” Europe is warning of chicken and egg shortages, and many states have now outright banned […]

Biden pays farms to STOP – EU out of Feed – Meat taxes & Chicken permits – Up to you to GROW FOOD!

1 April 2022 @ 9:38 pm

Even as Biden and Trudeau announce food shortages, farmers are being paid to STOP farming. Chickens are now “illegal animals” in more municipalities, requiring a permit, “due to bird flu.” The EU is culling livestock as they run out of animal feed, and the Netherlands is seriously considering a meat tax. — And yet, there […]

Biden: “Food Shortages Real” – Bird Flu PCR – PFAS closes farms

25 March 2022 @ 9:13 pm

Bread & circuses keep the masses asleep…and they are taking away the bread. As Biden announces food shortages are coming — prompting many to go stock up, and likely necessitating food rationing — two massive attacks are being perpetrated against our food supply: a “bird flu” epidemic is sweeping Europe and the US, again fueled […]

“Brace for Rationing” – Food Crisis Escalates – EU farmers furious

4 March 2022 @ 10:05 pm

The food crisis is escalating: more countries are halting exports, but even as the EU converges a food crisis meeting, they refuse to relax restrictions on farmers. Similarly, the US is not waiving biofuel mandates even as grain prices explode. Christian explains that this crisis is needed to advance the agenda, and reiterates the priorities […]
