Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max camera specs tipped
6 May 2026 @ 3:01 am
The Huawei Mate 90 series is expected to debut in China in October, but early details about the lineup have already begun to surface online. The latest leak sheds light on key camera specifications of the Mate 90 Pro Max.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Mate 90 Pro Max will feature a dual telephoto camera setup, similar to the Mate 80 Pro Max. However, one of the cameras is said to support 10x optical zoom.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max comes with a quad-rear camera setup.
The tipster also claims that Huawei is evaluating a 1-inch type sensor, likely for the primary...Tipster: 20th anniversary iPhone will have solid-state buttons
6 May 2026 @ 1:02 am
A few years ago, Apple was rumored to be developing solid-state buttons for its iPhone 15 Pro series. While that did not pan out, a new report from a Chinese tipster Instant Digital suggests Cupertino is currently testing solid-state buttons for its upcoming 20th anniversary iPhone model.
Apple is expected to launch a special anniversary edition iPhone next year, which will feature a quad-curved screen that blends with the sides of the device. The new report suggests that Apple has already done testing of the solid-state buttons, complementing the all-glass look of the...The FCC wants carriers to put more effort into preventing spam calls - or get punished
5 May 2026 @ 11:01 pm
Back in 2016, Google updated Android’s phone app to warn users about spam calls. We have seen various iterations of this and other similar features, but the problem still persists. Now the FCC wants to attack the root of the issue by strengthening the existing “Know-Your-Customer” (KYC) rules.
The FCC is asking for comments on more stringent verification for new and renewing customers. This may include requiring that customers provide their name, address, a government ID and alternative phone numbers.
Additionally, the Commission is looking for feedback on how to punish carriers who...Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5 lands in the US
5 May 2026 @ 9:41 pm
Back at MWC Barcelona, Lenovo unveiled several new tablets, including the gamer-focused Legion Tab Gen 5, aka Legion Y700 Gen 5 in China. That device has now made its way to the US with a starting price of $850 in its Eclipse Black colorway. That price gets you the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage trim.

Comparing the Legion Tab Gen 5’s US price with the EU starting price for the same RAM/storage trim €900/£699 shows the US model is a slightly better deal but it is far from a bargain. Deliveries from Lenovo US are scheduled for May...Amazon US drops the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to its lowest price yet, $1,000 for 256GB

5 May 2026 @ 7:02 pm
The Apple iPhone 17 was the best-selling smartphone globally in Q1 this year, according to data from Counterpoint. It represented an impressive 6% of all smartphones sold during the quarter. Just like in Q1 2025, its pricier siblings round out the Top 3 – the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the iPhone 17 Pro.
This year, the vanilla iPhone has a bigger lead over its Pro siblings. And the old iPhone 16 is still on the chart – it holds the #6 spot.

Meanwhile, the best-selling Android phone of the first three months of 2026 is the Samsung Galaxy A07 4G –...Vodafone now fully owns the UK's VodafoneThree
5 May 2026 @ 5:41 pm
Vodafone and Three announced plans to merge in the UK back in 2023, and the consolidation was eventually given the go-ahead by regulators in December 2024. The merged entity, VodafoneThree, officially began operations on May 31, 2025, with Vodafone holding 51% of the shares and CK Hutchison (Three's owner) holding 49%.
Now, almost exactly one year later, Vodafone is buying out CK Hutchison's stake, and thus will take full ownership of VodafoneThree. This will cost Vodafone £4.3 billion. The deal will of course need to be cleared by regulators, and that's expected to happen at some point...Samsung shows off a Privacy Display that can also measure your heart rate and blood pressure
5 May 2026 @ 5:18 pm
Today is the first day of Display Week 2026 and Samsung Display will demonstrate a new OLED display that combines privacy and health tracking features, a display that improves brightness and color rendering, a brighter QD display and a stretchable display for cars.
The company’s upgraded Sensor OLED Display is a 6.8” panel, which incorporates biometric sensors that can detect heart rate and blood pressure. This is done by organic photodiodes, which are embedded alongside the regular OLEDs. These photodiodes detect blood flow by seeing light that comes from the display and reflects off your...Apple is looking to diversify its chip production with Intel and Samsung
5 May 2026 @ 4:31 pm
Apple had a long-lasting partnership with Intel until the company decided to move away from the chip designer and manufacturer and rely on its own silicon for its MacBooks. With TSMC, Apple's relationship started in 2014, with the Taiwanese company shipping the Apple A8 chip. TSMC has remained the only chip supplier ever since. Now, Apple is trying to restore its partnership with Intel.
Numerous reports suggest that Apple has been looking to diversify away from TSMC for quite some time, but with the supply chain disruptions and chip shortage, fueled by the AI data centers, the matter...Samsung’s upcoming foldables leak inside One UI 9
5 May 2026 @ 3:21 pm
Previews of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Wide Fold appeared inside a One UI 9 build. The images, which were discovered by Android Authority, showcase the design of the two devices.
Galaxy Wide Fold (codenamed H8) appears just as in previously leaked renders with a short and horizontally spacious cover screen sporting a punch hole cutout, which is rumored to be smaller than previous Samsung foldables. We can also see its dual cameras housed inside a vertical camera island.
