Reply: General Gaming:: Re: Second hand games vs new games

30 January 2026 @ 1:25 am

by aphadonn I buy used when I find a good deal, but let's be real, the majority of individuals are not selling their used games at used-game prices. There's currently a gamer in my locale trying to sell an opened, punched, and "played once" Oath game for $100 while it currently costs $96 at Cardhaus. Another person admits they got their copy of Tapestry for FREE and is trying to sell it for the MSRP. People have got to be joking. This is why I buy new 75% of the time. I'm better off waiting for a game I want to go on sale brand-new than waiting for someone to sell it used at a decent price. The only time I really buy used is at consignment and ding-and-dent sales at events, my FLGS's rummage sales, and on the very rare occasion that I find a game I want at an actually decent sale price.
