by JHolub I had a phase in my group where a Mayor in the game guaranteed a win for the good team, because they always trusted the Mayor. Then I gave the Mayor as a bluff to the evil team and in the final 3 all 3 players left alive were like "yeah let's go for the Mayor win" and no one questioned that nobody actually complained about that and then the evil team won.I'm surprised that you think the Mayor win is random as I find it to be one of the, if not the hardest decision to make as a Storyteller in Trouble Brewing. For once whether you actually bounce the Mayor and if you do, who do you kill? It's a decision I think about a lot and nothing about it feels random.

by baba44713 Not every game is suitable for "episodic" content. This is not X-files, where Mulder and Scully investigate a new case every week and nothing substantially changes, one of the biggest draws of the game is how fundamentally investigators change during a single campaign, which includes significant physical and mental scarring. This gives substantial weight to the experience, one you cannot find in your average D&D romp where mostly you just divide up the loot and tick your numbers up a bit.As stated above, Chapter 2 seems to be changing things a bit and quite possibly putting a bit more emphasis on reusing same investigators in multiple campaigns. I see this as a potential step backwards since it implies investigators would require much more space to grow and be much less worse to the wear than they used to be in "old" campaigns, but for people who really want to just stick with the same investiga
