New comment on Item for GeekList "10 Worst "new to you" games of 2025"

15 December 2025 @ 11:16 am

by TeamAbsolute Related Item: Pergola Yes - I think that I’m with you in this. I’ve nothing against a cozy feel and theme in games - although hopefully they’ll also contain some quirks & individuality and at least generate some table talk and interest in what your opponents are doing. Things like Butterfly Garden, Ohanami, even Tokaido, are fine with me. But far too often it’s now just shorthand for yet another multiplayer solitaire personal tableau arranger - “this thing scores points if it’s next to this other thing, this thing scores points only if there exactly two other of the same thing in the tableau, etc”. by CapnMcDoom Could you instead show the Investigator that no minion is in play? That would of course reveal that there is a Spy - which might still be too strong, tbf. But it doesn't pin down who it is and perhaps makes for some paranoia.Genuinely curious whether others would do this. And I guess, by extension, whether you'd show a Drunk who thinks they're investigator the same thing if a different minion were in play.

16GB RAM phones' existence threatened by memory shortage

15 December 2025 @ 1:31 am

The memes about RAM prices are funny and all, but the consequences of the memory supply crunch are anything but. Word on the street is that 16GB RAM phones will become extinct next year and we will see the return of budget phones with 4GB RAM. We've already seen some flagships with hiked prices compared to their predecessors, and we are now hearing that Samsung plans to bump up the prices of its mid-range lineup in India. However, raising prices is not a universal fix. In price-sensitive markets, smartphone manufacturers will choose to cut costs instead of going up the price ladder....

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold gets 10 Pro Fold's camera split view feature

14 December 2025 @ 5:31 pm

With foldable phones being so popular, you expect many third-party apps to be optimized for the said form factor. Even more so when it comes to system apps. That's why Google is improving the Camera experience for Pixel 9 Pro Fold users with an update by adding a neat Pixel 10 Pro Fold feature. Pixel 9 Pro Fold Camera app This particular functionality allows you to preview your photos on the left half of the screen and keep the camera viewfinder on the right side. 14 December 2025 @ 3:02 pm

The Google Pixel 10a, which will arrive early next year, will have identical core specs to the 9a - a 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 13MP selfie camera, and the same dual camera on the back. Next up is a 5,100mAh battery (same as 2025's a series phone), same 23W charging, and possibly even the same Tensor G4 SoC. Speaking of same, many rumors have painted a picture of a very same-same Galaxy S26 series. But one of the few upgrades will seemingly be the addition of MagSafe. Samsung will likely call it something different (like Pixel Snap for the Pixel 10...

The Galaxy A56, on the other hand, will see its price go up by INR 2,000. The new prices will go into effect next week as early as Monday. Weekly poll results: the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is surprisingly popular

14 December 2025 @ 4:17 am

Last week’s poll ends with interesting results – the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is surprisingly popular. Okay, the plurality of people is turned away by its price, but those people still find the form factor appealing. Add those who are willing to spend as much as necessary to get into the new form factor early plus those who are on the fence and are waiting and the Z TriFold crosses the 50% mark. It’s rare to see a fresh idea in the mobile space get so much support out of the gate – super-slim phones experienced the exact opposite situation. What we find particularly interesting is how...
