by Wraf We’ve already played a few two-player games, and the monster wins every single time.The real issue seems to be that the monster’s actions are much stronger than the sorcerer’s. The sorcerer always has 3 actions, and that includes playing a spell card. By contrast, the monster has three actions and can move for free using energy (which is easy to gain by killing villagers with its actions), and can lower the panic level, and can play a power card without spending an action.Across all our games, we’ve rarely used the Quiet Night action simply because we don’t need it, energy alone is enough to reduce the panic level.And yes, the sorcerer is careful not to place villagers of the same color in the same district, and also pays attention to their final position before the monster’s turn.So I wanted to know whether other players share this impression, or if there’s s

by Kirenx It could be that you are just getting lucky with your enemy dice rolls and which enemies you are drawing. However, I would take a closer look at enemy key words as there are a few that are easy to misread. Stalwart, elusive, and divert are good examples of enemy skills that usually prevent clearing a field in a turn or two. Also with skills like those in 2hand, I would check to see if you are applying the fatigue correctly when you place them into your cooldown as it’s a powerful skill line, but early on usually isn’t super speedy. Destruction Staff can also do true damage to your adventurers, remember that cannot be prevented unless you have something that specifically says it can.Generally I find the first session tends to take longer than the others, at least partly because players have limited dice and a small cooldown during combat.
