Reply: The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship:: General:: Re: Guesses on the possibility of either a deluxe or 2nd edition?

6 May 2026 @ 3:55 pm

by MasterDinadan I think that a new edition with any kind of significant changes in the next year or two is extremely unlikely. Five or more years in the future, nobody can say. But the game is still very new. The success of the game is more likely to encourage expansions rather than any kind of reimplementation, particularly since a new edition will likely create compatibility issues with any expansions they may want to do in the future. Even the original Pandemic took 4 years to get a re-designed edition, and that was considered quite fast. That was mainly to give the game a more modern look and make sure it had a solid brand before the "franchise" really took off. Fate of the Fellowship really does not have any of the "quirks" of the first edition Pandemic so there is no indication that a re-brand is needed. The only way I could potentially see a graphic re-design is if they wanted to tie in im

6 May 2026 @ 3:55 pm

by GrimDanfango I know I'm dredging up something again that everyone clearly agrees a general consensus on, apologies in advance!... but I still don't think this is entirely clear without making assumptions."Using" an item is one action, you do that, you pay the durability cost, the only thing you can now do with that item is to utilize the "Start Fire" action on that one card. You've now begun an action, and must now follow the steps for resolving that action.Step 1 of that process is only now to choose whether to "use" one or more items from your inventory. At this point, I'd say the literal reading of the rules is that the previous usage already came and went... so you'd have to "use" that same item a second time.It could totally be assumed that the intent was to merge the two activations of the item into one, but I can't personally see that the rules

Here's when the Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 is coming

6 May 2026 @ 12:29 pm

According to a new report from Korea, Samsung's successor to the Galaxy Ring is coming next year. The Galaxy Ring launched back in 2024, so this means it will have almost three years on the market before it's replaced - a rarity these days in the tech world, where every product seems to be on a yearly refresh cycle or, in some cases, maybe a two-year cycle. The report in question says the Ring 2 is coming early next year, so it may be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S27 family. For the Galaxy Ring 2, Samsung is allegedly focusing on battery life, comfort, and sensor accuracy - and those are...

These extensions "allow you to access generative AI capabilities from installed apps on demand, through Apple Intelligence features such as Siri, Writing Tools, Image Playground and more", the report claims. So basically, you will be able to use the built-in Apple-made tools or have third-party alternatives tap in. The extensions will work for generating and...

Sony Xperia 1 VIII gets prematurely listed by Amazon revealing pricing and the release date

6 May 2026 @ 10:04 am

The upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VIII has just been mistakenly listed by Amazon in both Germany and the UK. The listings reveal a release date of June 26. The pricing is insane: €1,868.99 in Germany, £1,728 in the UK. Do however keep in mind that the prices may just be placeholders - sometimes such early listings do their best to guess the official price, and they're not necessarily a good indication of what that will be. That said, these prices also do include a pair of Sony WH1000XM6 headphones bundled with the phone. The Xperia 1 VIII has a 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED screen according to these...

iPhone Ultra dummy unit stars in hands-on video

6 May 2026 @ 7:29 am

We saw an iPhone Ultra dummy unit getting leaked last month, and another one getting compared to an actual Huawei Pura X Max unit. Now, there's another video available on YouTube where another iPhone Ultra dummy unit is portrayed in hands-on fashion. So if you want to take a look at it from various angles, and can get over the fact that seemingly half the video is an ad, here you go. The unorthodox form factor of the iPhone Ultra (and the Huawei Pura X Max, for what it's worth) is on full display here even if the measurements of this specific dummy unit don't quite match up to those...

Samsung confirms the Galaxy A27

6 May 2026 @ 5:29 am

Samsung's Galaxy A27 first surfaced in November, and more recently we saw it in the Geekbench database in early April, then it starred in some leaked renders not long afterwards. Today Samsung itself has confirmed that the Galaxy A27 is a real device that is coming soon. It's not surprising, of course, but it's still good to have an official confirmation. The Korean company still hasn't unveiled the phone, by the way, but it has listed it as compatible with Samsung Wallet on its Brazilian website, as you can see in the screenshot below. The Galaxy A27 is powered by the Snapdragon 6...
