Thread: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers – Trick-Taking Game:: Rules:: Ch.23 - Does lost card keep being replaced?

15 February 2026 @ 3:03 am

by Jenbie In Chapter 23, once Gandalf is revealed, he takes the lost card and places it in front of him. When he plays it, he replaces it with a card from his hand. What isn't clear is whether this keeps happening if the replacement card is played - is that also replaced with a second card from Gandalf's hand or once that is played, are all further cards secret as usual? I was thinking it wouldn't be replaced, as usually the lost card would just be added and that is that, so being able to see a second card is what makes Gandalf the White more powerful, and if it kept being replenished, would the card not say "Each time you play the lost card, replace it from your hand face up." The fact that it says "When you play the lost card" implies it is just that one card. It also potentially would make Gandalf overpowered if the other players could always see one of his cards, however I understand Gandalf the Whi

15 February 2026 @ 3:02 am

by f_a_j As a point of clarification the rules state that:1. In solo, players take turn alternatively. This is incompatible with the idea of Li Si executing more than 6 actions.2. After unification rewards, Li Si shuffles his discard pile with his action deck. This means it is understood the deck is not empty when he stops taking turns (there always are three unused cards). This also means Li Si does not cycle through his full 9-card deck before a shuffle, which provides uncertainty as to how many time he gets to play each card in the whole game. Very simple and clever way to provide some level of unpredictability without making the way he plays too lopsided.

Deals: foldables up to $500 off, Pixel 10 phones up to $300 off, Galaxy S25 FE also on sale

14 February 2026 @ 8:55 pm

This week we found some huge discounts on foldable phones that go up to $500 off. Don’t worry, though, there are plenty of bar phones to go around if you are not a fan of foldables. The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is $300 off at the moment, which makes it cheaper than the Samsung foldable at equal storage levels. The Pixel is down on performance (Tensor G5 vs. Snapdragon 8 Elite), but it does have more RAM than most Z Fold7 configurations (only the 1TB model has 16GB of RAM). The main 48MP camera on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold has a disappointingly small 1/2.0” sensor, which looks insufficient...

Samsung's wide Galaxy Z Fold spotted in One UI 9

14 February 2026 @ 6:35 pm

Samsung is reportedly working on a wide Galaxy Z Fold, and last year, some speculative renders showed us what this foldable smartphone could look like. However, thanks to One UI 9, we are now getting our best look yet at the wide Galaxy Z Fold. One UI 9 test builds for Samsung's unannounced Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 recently popped up, and those included a couple of animations, giving us our first sort of official look at the wide Galaxy Z Fold. These animations don't reveal much, but their presence in the One UI 9 builds confirms that Samsung is working on a wide Galaxy Z...

Google Pixel 10a's full specs, price surface

14 February 2026 @ 2:30 pm

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 10a on February 18, and it has already shown us the phone's design. Not that we didn't know what the Pixel 10a would look like, but it's still good to have an official confirmation ahead of its unveiling. What Google hasn't revealed, though, is the Pixel 10a's specs sheet. While rumors claimed the Pixel 10a would just be a Pixel 9a in different colors, a new leak suggests that won't be the case entirely. German blog WinFuture claims to have retailer data that reveals the Google Pixel 10a will be almost identical to the Pixel 9a, with the Pixel 10a's...

Well, the good news is that Google has resumed releasing Android 17 Beta 1, and it's now available for Pixel devices. Google says this build continues its work for more adaptable Android apps and brings significant enhancements to camera and media capabilities. Additionally, the Android 17 build includes expanded profiles for companion devices and new tools to optimize connectivity. Google has also replaced Developer Previews...

Global Honor Magic7 Pro is finally receiving the update to MagicOS 10 based on Android 16

The global version of Honor's Magic7 Pro is finally being blessed with an update to MagicOS 10, the company's skin based on Android 16. [#InlinePriceWidget,13480,1#] The update is MagicOS 10.0.0.121, and it arrives over-the-air as a 3.27GB download, so it's best grabbed over a fast enough network. You of course also need to make sure you have plenty of free space for it to download, extract, and install. The rollout is most likely happening in batches, as is always the case, so if you...

Poco C81 Pro is on the way, new certification reveals

14 February 2026 @ 2:29 am

A new Poco smartphone, the C81 Pro, is on the way. This was revealed because it was just certified for sale in Thailand by NBTC. It has the model number 25128PC17G, and the certification confirms that it's going to lack 5G support. That and the fact that it's a member of Poco's entry-level C-series means we should expect a low-end device. It was also certified in January by SDPPI in Indonesia, but at the time it was identified as the Poco C81. In the meantime, it seems to have gained the Pro suffix - this is the same device. It's also expected to be sold in some markets as the Redmi A7...
