by Eldritch Dane There is definitely a case to be made for “diminishing returns” as the issue with small thin decks is solved way before everything is added. I will however claim, that in my mind the “Base game” is Core box + Forsaken Lore + at least a proxy for Focus or Strange Remnants (I believe that is the small box that has it and Syzygy / mysteries ruins are nice additions). I will say though, that while small box expansions are more bang for your buck, I still do not regret buying any of the big box expansions. I do not feel ANY bloat other than when I need to find specific assets in the asset deck during setup.In favor of getting everything is that it is the most balanced amount of different content that I have felt during the process of adding content. Example: I you add only Carcosa and Pyramids and no other expansions, you will likely run into Impairments way too often. With

by Inkchronicles I did all the art for this game I co-designed Sky Hold in the In Hand Game Contest. Here is how I feel about AI art as an aspiring board game artist. 1. I feel all the AI art actually helps my art stand out and I feel that my art for the game looks especially good because people are so used to seeing the AI art that doesn’t have a human feel. 2. I do think that it drives the opportunity for paid work for artists down because it’s free to get “OK” AI art. As for me I was thrilled to recently find a part time game illustration job that paid me minimum wage! Would that be the case if AI art wasn’t so accessible. I would guess probably not.
