Some users...WhatsApp is now testing the notification bubbles feature
24 April 2026 @ 6:30 am
Meta-owned WhatsApp keeps testing new features for its Android and iOS users, with the latest feature in the works being notification bubbles, which Google has supported on Android since Android 10.
This revelation comes from the folks at WABetaInfo, who found that WhatsApp is testing the notification bubbles feature in its Android app. If you've used Meta-owned Facebook Messenger on Android, then you already know how notification bubbles work.
When you receive a message from an individual or in a group chat, you'll see a floating bubble on the screen, regardless of whether you are on...Nothing OS 4.1 rolls out to the Nothing Phone (3)
24 April 2026 @ 5:01 am
Nothing launched the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro last month running the latest Nothing OS 4.1 on top of Android 16. Now the company is starting to roll out Nothing OS 4.1 to the Nothing Phone (3), which has been running Nothing OS 4.0, also based on Android 16.
While this doesn't bring an Android version bump, it does include the Essential Voice functionality that was announced earlier today. There's also a new lock screen clock, and Live Updates now work across the device including the lock screen, notification panel, and Glyph interface.
The Essential Notifications UI is cleaner...iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra dummy units leak
24 April 2026 @ 3:31 am
Dummy units have leaked today showing the shapes of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra (which is the name the iPhone Fold is rumored to actually get). The dummy units are created based on CAD renders sent to case makers, so they are usually accurate with the most important details - things like the overall shape and dimensions, as well as the shape and size of the camera islands.
In the family shot above you can see that the iPhone Ultra is missing MagSafe support, which is an interesting omission for sure. We obviously can't tell if it has wireless...vivo X300 FE in for review
24 April 2026 @ 1:03 am
It's been kind of hectic here at GSMArena HQ in the last few weeks - we're getting phones left and right and are working pretty much nonstop to bring you guys content! But we're slowly getting through the pile, and today, we've got the recently globalized vivo X300 FE in the house!
Unveiled and rolled internationally alongside the vivo X300 Ultra, the vivo X300 FE is coming in two configurations - 12/256GB and 12/512GB. We're not sure of the price just yet.
The phone ships with a color-matching case, a 90W charger, and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
The X300 FE is the compact flagship...vivo X500 series screen details leak
23 April 2026 @ 11:02 pm
vivo's upcoming flagship series will probably be called X500, to avoid the number 4 due to tetraphobia. These will of course be the successors to the X300 line.
Today in China, prolific leaker Digital Chat Station has seemingly revealed what we can expect from the X500 family in terms of screens. While he doesn't mention the exact model names, he does say there will be one device with a 6.37-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, and another device employing a 6.83-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with 2K resolution.
There's also a third option that's allegedly still pending (so...Nothing introduces Essential Voice speech-to-text transcription and translation
23 April 2026 @ 9:36 pm
Today Nothing has unveiled Essential Voice, a speech-to-text engine that promises to deliver "clear, ready-to-send text in real time". Thus, it improves upon the traditional dictation that, while turning speech into text, includes all the ums, uhs, and ahs, all of your stutters, and sometimes zero punctuation (or, perhaps even worse, wrong punctuation).
Essential Voice promises to give you "the speed and ease of talking with the clarity and flexibility of text". It cuts filler words "for a more streamlined and considered output". It auto-detects more than 100 languages, and lets you choose...Samsung's mobile division may be facing its first-ever annual loss because of crazy memory prices
23 April 2026 @ 8:07 pm
Samsung’s MX division (which builds its smartphones) may be facing its first-ever annual loss – meanwhile, the folks over at Device Solutions (where the memory business is housed) posted guidance for a record-breaking Q1. You have already figured out that there is a single cause for these two events.
To spell it out, the soaring prices of DRAM and NAND memory are eating into the margins. According to the analysts at Counterpoint, the bill of materials (BoM) for a flagship phone ($800+) is predicted to rise by $100-$150. Memory makes up the most with 23% of the total going towards RAM and...videocardz.com
