According to a new report from Bloomberg News, 25% of all new iPhones are now made in India. An estimated 55 million iPhones were manufactured in India last year, up from 36 million in 2024. The foldable gets a bump up in battery capacity for its local debut, and more importantly, we finally have some pricing details as Honor did not reveal those at MWC. vivo has been teasing the X300 Ultra a lot lately, but the company still hasn't announced an exact unveiling date for its upcoming all-out camera flagship. SK hynix announced that it will start mass production of LPDDR6 memory based on its latest 1c (10nm-class) DRAM process in the second half of this year. The company just completed validation of the 1c dies and will spend the first half of this year in preparation for mass production. The company has developed 16 gigabit LPDDR6 chips that will be used in smartphones and tablets with on-device AI. Samsung US reports that the pre-order volume for the new Galaxy S26 series is up nearly 25% across channels (including its own online store, major carriers and big retailers). The split between the three models is even more skewed than it was in Korea. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra represented a whopping 80% of all pre-orders. Samsung SDI has been testing 12,000mAh, 18,000mAh and 20,000mAh Silicon-Carbon batteries – internal test reports have leaked on X and they show that the company still has work to do. There is no info on the 20,000mAh battery, but the reports for the other two note that it failed after 960 charge cycles. That clearly won’t do. The two smaller batteries aim for 1,500 cycles, but whether they can get there is still under test.
