If you draw a compass and choose to continue exploring (no battle or event), you may still fish since there are no more chip actions to resolve.Hi Will, that seems to conflict with what the designer said in this, and also with the rules, which don’t say “after resolving all chip requirements.” Rather the rules say after a Battle or Field Event is resolved.

9 November 2025 @ 6:07 am

by SnowDragonka Related Item: Primal: The Awakening This is a game I fell in love with even before it came to crowdfunding and I love it to this day after receiving it. My only issue is that I can't play as much these days, because two handing can take quite a long time to play. But it's one of my most beloved games. I love the visuals, the card play, the monster reactions, everything just falls in place perfectly for me for a lovely dynamic puzzle. And each monster is so different. And both campaign (which is short, another plus for me) and one-offs are equally enjoyable to play. This is a keeper. I basically store everything in the expansion boxes it came with.

If you're interested in D-Day, The Mighty Endeavor, might be the one.3) A Victory Awaits: Operation Barbarossa 1941 uses a chit-draw mechanism, which means you can't predict which formation will move next. That might allow some interesting play solo.

by vlad48 I've been inspired to do my own version of the game concept (lots of accumulated game materials). I thought a good mechanic was to give the Monsters a phase after the heroes in which they can either attack the hero for one strike (heros ONLY defend) or, if alone, they can move 1 space towards the heroes. Then the APs would begin again; as I don't own the commercial game not sure if this would work but that's my idea.

Weekly poll: would you buy the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite?

9 November 2025 @ 5:02 am

Nothing is breaking out of its mid-range shell – it went from launching its first flagship to its first entry-level phone in quick succession. But now there is an awkward clash with the CMF brand, which was supposed to be Nothing’s entry-level lineup. Based on its name, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite is a dialed back, cheaper version of the Nothing Phone (3a). And there are certainly similarities, the phone is even closer to the CMF Phone 2 Pro. In fact, it is below the CMF model as it lacks the 50MP 2x/50mm telephoto camera while offering no advantage of its own to make up for...

Xiaomi OpenWear Stereo Pro review

9 November 2025 @ 1:02 am

The open wearable stereo (OWS) market gained serious traction over the last two years, and just about every brand has its own entry now. While traditional earbuds come with the tried and tested plug form factor, which sits inside your ear, the OWS models position their drivers right at the tip of your ear canal. The result is raised awareness of your surroundings at the cost of subpar passive isolation. OpenWear Stereo Pro is the latest offering from Xiaomi, and it aims to one-up its competitors by offering a more premium build while still retaining its open-fit system. Xiaomi is...

Deals: Google Pixels are up to $300 off, Nothing Phone (3) price also drops

Pixels were on a break for a while, in terms of discounts, but now they are back in full force. The entire Pixel 10 lineup is up to $300 off and so is the vanilla model from last year. The Google Pixel 9 flaunts some advantages over its replacement – a large 1/1.31” 50MP sensor in the main camera and a high-resolution 48MP ultra-wide (vs. 13MP). It misses the 10.8MP 5x/112mm periscope, though, that’s new for 2025. It also has a slightly smaller battery, 4,700mAh vs. 4,970mAh. However, battery life on the Pixel 9 is actually better (with a 13:05h Active use score compared to 12:08h for the...

Weekly poll results: the Oppo Find X9 Pro is more desirable than the Find X9, both are expensive

8 November 2025 @ 3:56 pm

The results from last week’s poll are in – Oppo nailed the hardware of the two Find X9 models. However, quite a few people are having issues with the price tag. Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro highlights The Oppo Find X9 Pro is the clear favorite of the two – you’ll see it more clearly in the next chart. Some commenters have already bought an X9 Pro, others are still looking – and some are waiting for the Find X9 Ultra. Those are the “money is no object” crowd, of course. The group that does object to the X9 Pro pricing is quite a bit larger. €1,300 is proving to be a tough sell...

Xiaomi 15T vs. 15T Pro

8 November 2025 @ 9:02 am

Xiaomi's sub-flagship lineup is back for another year and you might be wondering whether the Xiaomi 15T is good enough or whether the Xiaomi 15T Pro's camera prowess and stronger chipset are convincing enough to deserve its price premium. As it currently stands, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is asking around €150-200 more than its sibling, and unlike in older generations, there are plenty of differences to go through. Some are subtle, others are not. With this year's upgrade to the 15T Pro, the handset feels closer to being a true flagship, while the 15T remains a solid, mid-range all-rounder. So...

Poco Pad M1 runs Geekbench AI, has its specs leaked

Entire iPhone 18 lineup to get upgraded selfie cameras, new report claims

Now a new report from analysts at JP Morgan claims that all iPhone 18 models will also get a 24MP selfie camera. That's a bump up in resolution from the current generation's 18MP shooter. Interestingly, the 24MP selfie camera was previously rumored for the iPhone 17 lineup, but didn't happen - and now it seems like it just got postponed to next year. The iPhone Fold will even...
