Thread: Dune: Imperium – Uprising:: General:: Confusion with the leaders

25 January 2026 @ 10:18 am

by Flamberg Hello to all Dune fans!We recently had the chance to play Uprising for the first time. Overall, we liked everything, but we had questions for the leaders. The leaders in the game do not look balanced at first glance. Even without delving deeply into the essence of each ability, it immediately becomes noticeable that some leaders provide, for example, one-time bonuses, while others provide permanent ones. During the game, this became even more noticeable, when some players constantly lamented that they could not effectively use their leader's abilities, while others calmly used their own abilities and did not feel any discomfort. After the game we tried to understand what it was, whether we understood everything correctly or were missing something. Because some players have developed a strong antipathy towards specific leaders.I thought that, firstly, it would probably be better to dist

by sam_sam Hi! I’ve just tried your game. At first glance, I think the theme is very well conveyed. I’ve never taken photos in Korea, but I can easily imagine the experience: the feeling of rerolling, trying again, swapping a die, rerolling once more, and checking whether the dice assignments are creating good combos.I played two games. Before starting the first game, I knew that my reroll decisions had to be based on the scoring conditions, so I tried to keep all the criteria in mind. However, halfway through the game I realized I was failing at remembering them all. The only ideas that really stuck were looking for 5s and 6s on pose dice, having varied dice, and poses with the same value. In practice, this led to a lot of chaos.I approached the second game by writing the scoring criteria next to me. Even though I didn’t look at it constantly during the game, having it there was very

Another thing I specially appreciate given it's made of unique cards and an original system is how the rules thoroughly cover all the cases.

A couple of weeks ago, Realme launched the 16 Pro and 16 Pro+. Right now, they are only available in India, which is a shame – these two have some impressive specs and though they are a bit pricey, they could have found success in other markets too. The Realme 16 Pro+ flaunts a 200MP main camera (1/1.56”, OIS) and a 50MP 3.5x periscope (1/2.76”, f/2.8, OIS), plus an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP selfie module. It’s not perfect (video stabilization and ultra-wide videos in particular being substandard), but it is better than most mid-range phones – many of which don’t even have a...

Not so long ago, it looked like mini smartphones were all but dead – now they seem to be thriving with multiple makers launching models at several price points. Oppo launched one in the Reno15 series and it was the clear winner of last week’s poll. But how successful would it be outside of its Reno15 family? The Oppo Reno15 Pro, aka Reno15 Pro Mini in India, didn’t knock it out of the park with around a quarter of the vote going in its favor – notably, there are a lot more people who think they can get a better deal with other petite smartphones. Still, if you look at the yellow pie slice,...
