I was never quite satisfied with the kingdom markers and other tokens in this amazing and beautiful game. Really liked the artwork on the original cardboard pieces but they tended to blend in too much, were hard to see at times and the food and yellow tokens were too close in color. The deluxe plastic bits were much easier to see but just didn't fit the overall look of the game in my opinion. So I went with the original cardboard pieces with clear resin applied and I really like the look. They are now easy to spot without looking out of place. The Dalcs in my mind needed to look extra special. Mostly only did one side as most of these pieces end up being placed flat on the playing surface and you don't want them sliding around.

I disagree with the premise. My experience is that the enemies in this game are more aggressive (because they always move to the closest target), and that managing Hunger against higher pressure enemies makes the game more tactically strict. It's less random and more calculating.That being said, I'm describing the Zombie Mode and I do find the Super Hero Mode to be less compelling. So if you normally play Super Hero Mode, that could be why you're less impressed.

I know the effects of the card are optional, as it says you MAY reroll, but is the playing of the card actually optional or is that mandatory?

It looks that way, yes, but only when playing with an ADP; my guess is that this is meant to offset the sometimes tactically inept decisions the in-built AI makes. E.g. think of a situation where an ADP enemy spellcaster summons a War Demon for 5 turns, and then on the next turn the die roll determining his behaviour has him cast another permanent spell - poof, there goes the War Demon... So to prevent that, I think this rule was implemented.

Google’s newly launched Pixel 10a is now available for pre-order. Alongside, the Google Pixel 10, several Xiaomi smartphones, and Samsung’s latest Galaxy tablets are available with a discount.
The Pixel 10a is not a huge upgrade over the 9a, but it’s a good deal at £499 for the 128GB variant. It comes with a 6.3-inch OLED display that’s now slightly brighter than last year’s model and has slimmer bezels.

Ever since OpenAI acquired ex-Apple chief designer Jony Ive’s design startup, rumors have been rampant about what kind of product the collaboration will yield. Clearly, it would have to be some sort of hardware piece – a first for OpenAI. At first, insiders hinted at an AI pen, then the clues shifted things towards something simpler – AI earbuds. Now insiders familiar with the matter claim that there are three hardware products in the pipeline – a wearable pin-like device, smart glasses and a smart speaker. Remember when Facebook rebranded to Meta back in 2021? That move was very much related to an internal company belief in the future of VR tech. As part of that, Meta envisioned Horizon Worlds as the main way people would be communicating in the future. At this point in time, it seems pretty clear that the VR fad is over or close to it.

According to a new rumor, Realme is working on the C83, which will be positioned under the C85, just like the naming scheme implies. The C85 made its debut in November.
The C83 is said to arrive in three RAM/storage combos: 4/64GB, 4/128GB, and 6/128GB. Their prices in India are rumored to be INR 13,499, INR 14,499, and INR 17,499, respectively.

The Redmi A7 Pro got certified earlier this month, and now the Redmi A7 is following in its footsteps and may launch alongside the Pro model. The Redmi A7 has the model number 26020RNB4A, according to NBTC in Thailand.
The device has also been EEC certified, and it's going to be 4G-only just like the Pro. The Redmi A7 and Redmi A7 Pro may be sold in some markets as the Poco C81 and Poco C81 Pro.

Google introduced its Titan M2 security chip with the Pixel 6 devices back in 2021, and it's still present in the Pixel 10 family, but it's obviously getting a little bit long in the tooth after more than four years.
The good news is that a new rumor claims the Titan M3 is coming later this year to the Pixel 11 series alongside the Tensor G6 SoC. It's unclear exactly what will be new in the Titan M3, but it is allegedly codenamed Google Epic, so clearly it will be a massive improvement over its predecessor - otherwise why call it that?

Motorola's Razr 2025 and Razr Ultra 2025, also known as the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra outside of North America, are now finally being updated to Android 16 in the US, days after Google launched the first beta of Android 17. So we definitely can't praise Motorola for being fast with this release - Google rolled out Android 16 in June of last year.
