Review: Ada's Dream:: Board Game Quest -- A Dream of a Eurogame

5 June 2026 @ 6:51 am

by wing_nut Ada's Dream lives up to its title, as it truly is a dream to play. It’s a heavy Eurogame for sure, but not necessarily because of the rules overhead. Turn structures are relatively simple, but multiple paths for accomplishing any given task, multiple factors associated with each dice drafting pick, and the importance of ordering your limited actions appropriately make this an incredibly thinky puzzle that plays differently every time, owing to changing objectives and board set-up. The overlay of a revisionist historical science theme that includes many real-life scientists helps Ada’s Dream stand out from the Eurogame crowd. At end-game, you get to admire your personal computer filled with colorful dice, mathematical gears, and adorable punch cards, and you’ll feel like you’ve helped create something amazing. If your creation helps compute a superbly high score, all the better. This is an excep

Review: Take a Seat:: BoardGameQuest--A S'wonderful Share-and-Write Style Polyomino Filler Game

5 June 2026 @ 6:51 am

by wing_nut Take a Seat is a theater-themed polyomino share-and-write with a unique combination of desirable qualities: simultaneous play, ample player interaction, flexible playercount of 1-6, and thinky decisions throughout. On any given turn, you’ve got possibilities galore: 4 objectives to satisfy, 4 area majority contests, and up to 8 usher abilities to exploit. The changing objectives every game as well as 2 different theater maps provide ample replayability. Some of the objectives could be more interesting, and the artwork is ironically plain for a theater themed game. Nonetheless, the solid gameplay should make this game a high flying, adored filler choice for game night. The full-detailed review of this game at Board Game Quest, including photos, can be accessed here.

iPhone 18 Pro Max dimensions tipped

5 June 2026 @ 9:34 am

According to a new post from tipster Ice Universe, the 18 Pro Max (and we assume the 18 Pro) will measure 8.75 mm. That’s the same exact thickness as the 17 Pro models, which should not come as a surprise. The tipster further emphasizes that Apple’s continued focus on its first foldable phone – the iPhone Ultra has left the 18 Pro series without many novel features. This makes perfect sense as the Ultra or whatever it ends up being called will sit at...
