Thread: Lift Off:: Rules:: Specialist Cards

11 December 2025 @ 11:35 am

by ozymanidias The specialist cards are divided in 2 sections.1) the effect of the specialist: When playing a specialist you gain the benefit of the effect, but when you don't use that effect you don't get 2 money instead, right? I saw in a video that there was 2 money distributed when the effect wasn't used.2) 1/2 actions: when you don't perform the actions of the specialist you can earn 2 money instead. When you perform 1 of the 2 actions you don't get any money from the left over action. That part of the rules is clear to me.Can anyone confirm of the situation of part 1 of the specialist card, please?

Some thoughts about the new and old RuneQuest and its Glorantha world material

11 December 2025 @ 11:35 am

by Krisse Tuominen Some very personal thoughts about the new and old RuneQuest and Glorantha material In my early adolescence and through my teenage years, to me, RuneQuest was "the One Game Above them all". And when I am talking about "the RuneQuest", I mean especially the third version of RuneQuest RPG, which was also translated into Finnish. Our family bought the box edition in 1988, if my memory serves me right. I ran it and played it a lot with my brothers, mother, family, our neighbors, and friends. Oh, how many adventures and quests we had back then! It still has a special place in my heart. For obvious reasons, I still have some RuneQuest material in my RPG book collection.

by TheTroublewithForest There was completely a way to avoid the fee. It was 100% voluntary. All you had to do was not respond. I figured I’d already paid the hundreds of dollars and that was enough so I didn’t pay it. Also well run companies (which AR seems be ) build buffers in case of unforeseen problems, so while the tariffs were a financial hit in some ways they had likely already built possible losses into the model. Plenty of companies have asked for help on tariffs, some required it to get your game. In this case, when it’s voluntary, Why would you ask for a refund on a product you already paid for and was shipping out?
