Mini Rogue is much more typical of the genre and is also a nice game. I just wish the standard game came with the dual layer boards, as they would have helped its accessibility quite a bit. But it is a very solid Roguelike, true to the name.Have you tried Kinfire Delve: Vainglory's Grotto or any of tye other 2?

by ira212 It's a cool idea, but unfortunately I had a lot of trouble playing. Here are my top suggestions for improvement at this point:1) Add an undo feature. There are many confusing moments and possible bugs, if you allow the player to undo, they might be able to actually play a game.2) The screen real estate should focus on the most important things. For example, you're giving up a lot of wasted space on the right, when the map should really be 80% of the screen. The politics track could be more compressed, similar to the way it exists on the actual board.3) When you mouse-over a card, it should immediately enlarge, without having to click on it - if the player is mousing over it, they want to know what it does! Also, it's important to show at a glance if the card is a Muster, Army, or Character card. It's also important to know what cards the opponent has in hand, which I couldn't see anywhere (though ma

17 June 2026 @ 4:22 am

by ParzivalTMP I’m with those a little disappointed that the rules don’t allow the flying Snowspeeders to actually fly. I allow Snowspeeders to essentially ignore all terrain movement restrictions except the seracs. I’ve considered allowing them to fly over (through) friendly infantry and artillery (they do so in the film), but not any enemy unit (we’ll call that avoiding anti-aircraft fire). They can’t stop on any hex occupied by any other unit, friendly or not. To balance things out, Snowspeeders wouldn’t gain the advantages of any terrain except ridges (height is height)— really, what advantage does a Snowspeeder get from a building or wreckage or rocks? It’s up high; they are below it— generally, aircraft are not protected by buildings (certainly not the underground facilities as on Hoth)! Otherwise, LoS rules are unchanged for Snowspeeders— we’ll just assume there’s a lot of activ

Commodore announces Callback 8020, a phone "between dumb and smart"

17 June 2026 @ 1:31 am

Commodore is making a phone that isn't a full-on smartphone, nor is it a dumbphone. It straddles the line in a very obviously nostalgia-baiting fashion. Before we talk about the new Commodore Callback 8020, let's get something out of the way first. Commodore International Corporation (CIC), which now owns the brand, was established last year by Christian Simpson, a tech YouTuber who is the CEO. He's brought on some ex-employees of the original company, but this isn't the Commodore of old rising from the ashes like a Phoenix. It's an entirely different company which bought the rights to the...

No, the foldable iPhone Ultra has not been delayed, claims leakster

17 June 2026 @ 12:02 am

Yesterday, reports claimed that the foldable iPhone Ultra will be delayed until early next year – however, leakster Fixed Focus Digital believes these reports are false. According to FFD’s sources, production capacity is limited, but that doesn’t mean that the announcement has been delayed. Instead, the Ultra will be unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models in September as originally planned. The actual release of the foldable may be delayed, but only by a month at most, claims the leakster. As we mentioned yesterday, something like this has happened before – the iPhone X was...

ChatGPT grows user base to over 1.1 billion but its market share is shrinking

16 June 2026 @ 10:33 pm

OpenAI's ChatGPT had an early start in the AI chatbot race, which cemented its dominant position that it's held for years. However, that is now eroding. For the first time ever, ChatGPT now has less than 50% of the AI chatbot pie, as its competitors have made massive strides lately. By May, ChatGPT's market share was down to 46.4%, followed most closely by Gemini (27.7%) and Claude (10.3%). 46% market share is still impressive, but ChatGPT started at 100% all those years ago, let's not forget. On the other hand, more and more people are using AI chatbots, with ChatGPT going over the...

Meta's Threads celebrates 500 million users with a bunch of new features

16 June 2026 @ 9:03 pm

There was a time when many Twitter alternatives popped up, and Meta couldn't resist throwing its hat in this game too, with Threads. Threads may have started as a way to capture people leaving Twitter after Elon Musk bought it, but it's now all grown up, it seems. The service has reached 500 million monthly active users, having added about 100 million since last August. Undoubtedly, its ties with Instagram have made it easier to jump to than other Twitter wannabes. But Meta says the recently launched communities feature has been driving a lot of the growth. To celebrate the...

Apple releases second developer betas of iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6

16 June 2026 @ 7:43 pm

Apple is working on iOS 27, but this doesn’t mean that work on the current iOS 26 version has stopped. In fact, iOS 26.5 came out a month ago, which was followed by 26.5.1 to fix a charging issue. Now there is iOS 26.6 on the way too. Currently, Apple is seeding the second developer beta for iOS 26.6 (build number 23G5043d), iPadOS (23G5043d), watchOS (23U5040d) and macOS (25G5043d). The release notes don’t mention any new features, so this appears to be just a round of polish. iOS 26.6 developer beta 1 included a security upgrade for Apple Maps. Also, it added a warning in the Contacts...

Verizon's $1 billion deal to improve network coverage faces resistance from regional carriers

16 June 2026 @ 6:31 pm

The FCC recently approved a $1 billion deal between Verizon and UScellular. The former purchased several cellular spectrums, which help the carrier strengthen its coverage in rural areas. The deal includes AWS-1, AWS-3 and PCS spectrum licenses covering roughly 8% of the US population. However, some people in the industry are opposing the deal and are asking the FCC to review its decision. The challenge is being led by the Rural Wireless Association (RWA), arguing that the deal is just part of a larger pattern of big carriers absorbing spectrum and cornering smaller businesses, which...

More details about the OnePlus 16's screen leak

16 June 2026 @ 2:06 pm

According to a new rumor from Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the OnePlus 16's screen will have a 185Hz refresh rate. The company was previously rumored to be testing going up to 240Hz, but it allegedly cancelled those plans as such a high refresh rate "could affect the display" and "may not be feasible for widespread adoption" (both phrases machine translated from Chinese, so there might be some accuracy issues). The display panel itself has already been ordered from China's BOE, and it will be a 6.78-inch size with "1.5K" resolution. Compared to the OnePlus 15's screen, it has higher...
